A written acceptable use policy, a complete tool inventory with data residency notes, and a named AI owner, built around the pilot just identified.
AI Literacy Training
Trained staff with documented, role-specific AI competence for the chosen use case, and a record of safe use guidance delivered.
Controlled AI Pilot
A live, tested AI application with evidence of performance against the pre-agreed success definition.
AI Owner Setup and Handover
A named AI owner with the knowledge and documentation to maintain governance independently, with the Fractional AI Lead retainer on hand if it is needed.

Enterprise Ireland-supported companies in manufacturing or internationally traded services can apply for the Build Capability Grant, which funds up to €70,000 for the training of management and staff. The AI Capability Build Programme includes structured training across AI literacy, governance, and practical use — components that are designed to qualify for eligible training costs.
